Perpetually posh meets stylish durability in this hand knotted wool vintage Persian Heriz rug. The visual complexity and lively earth-tone colors woven into this piece create a classic yet modern look. Taking center stage is an octofoil medallion patterned with palmettes, florals and foliage. A strikingly intricate arrangement of blooming palmettes, serrated leaves, buds and blooms radiate outward from the medallion filling the red field. The beige corner spandrels and undulating cloudbands cultivate an esoteric juxtaposition among the harmonious botanical design. It is framed with an equally striking Herat border. Reflecting timeless appeal and traditional sensibility, this vintage Persian area rug can beautifully blend modern, contemporary and traditional interiors.
