Artfully hand-knotted from high quality wool, this hand-knotted wool antique Persian Heriz rug features a classic traditional style comprised of a prominent central medallion flanked with two cartouche finials surrounded by an allover pattern of unique, angular florals and leaves. The large-scale medallion rests on a dark red field enclosed by an ivory background and complementary dark red spandrels. The variegated shades of blue, coral, dark red and midnight navy blue contrasting beautifully with the accent colors as they work together creating a statement piece. A variant of the leaf and calyx border composed of alternating serrated leaves and rosette medallions is flanked with two guard bands.
