In this particular Mahal rug, the henna blooms are contained within a lattice made up of rosettes and boteh-shaped leaves. It is also sometimes referred to as the chestnut pattern, due to its resemblance of horse-chestnut blossoms. An attractive palmette main border enclosed with delicate carnation meander guard borders, expertly frames the composition. Characterized by the no-fuss design aesthetic and coveted patina, this antique Persian area rug exhibits authentic character and timeless charm.
