This hand-knotted wool colorful antique Turkish Oushak rug features a red cusped lozenge medallion anchored with palmette finials on an abrashed and subdued pistachio and avocado colored field. Large-scale serrated weeping willow trees and stylized flowers blossom at either end of the centre medallion and rectilinear flowering vines, blooming palmettes, and and lively red with a conversing border. The center medallion is surrounded by geometric motifs and delicate botanical decorations in the field create a dense abstract pattern. This antique rug features a diamond-like medallion and radiating stemmed vines between the complementary quarter panels. The main border showcases geometric floral elements with harmonizing guard borders.
