It features a red and midnight navy blue cusped central medallion anchored with palmette pendants at either end. The rustic red field is covered with an all-over botanical pattern composed of serrated leaves, roundel rosettes, hyacinth, floral sprigs, and cypress trees. A large-scale peacock graces each corner spandrel. Immersed in Persian history, the peacock is seen as a guardian to royalty and is often seen in the engravings upon the thrones of Persian royalty.
