Description

70590 Antique Persian Kurdish Rug, 03'02 x 10'07.

An antique artifact of nomadic Kurds, this Persian Rug was handwoven with rich ornament and colors throughout. Depth and beauty abound in this antique Kurdish Rug with Nomadic Raconteur Style. Stepped and hooked cross patterns run the length of this runner, each surrounded by bright outlines of alternating hues. The unexpected color contrasts never fail to intrigue and surprise the viewer. It is finished with a leaf and calyx style (wine glass) border flanked by an inner border of multicolor diamonds and an outer border of smaller leaf and abstract calyx motifs.

Rendered in variegated shades of brick red, terra cotta, burnt orange, burnt umber, sienna, camel, coffee, saffron, royal blue, cerulean, cream, beige, tan, and ecru. Complementary SW Hues: Cavern Clay, Distance, Origami White, Celestial, Nugget, Elation, Caramelized, Black Bean, Poised Taupe, and Dhurrie Beige. Well-suited for a wide range of interior styles: Modern, Tribal, Nomad, Primitive, Traditional, Eclectic, Bohemian, Boho Chic, Industrial, Rustic, Country, Bungalow, Arts & Crafts, Mid-Century Modern, Contemporary, Lodge, Tudor, and Jacobean. Perfect for a wide hallway, entry, study, library, office, studio, galley kitchen, large corridor, living room, bedroom, bathroom, grand foyer and long entryway.
