French Industrial meets quiet sophistication in this hand knotted wool vintage Turkish overdyed rug. The inconspicuous botanical design and mellow colorway in this piece work together resulting in a look of laid-back luxury with utilitarian appeal. A barely-there faded botanical pattern composed of blooming palmettes, stylized florals, leafy tendrils and organic formations seem to evanesce before one's eyes into the mesmerizing composition. In the same manner, barely-there spandrels emanate from the corners seamlessly blending into the field. Adding the finishing touch is an equally elaborate Herati border enclosed with delicate floral meander guard bands. Reflecting Anatolian cultural embodiments and historical richness in neutral earth-tone colors, this vintage overdyed rug strikes the right balance of relaxed formality and quiet sophistication.
