Description

76787 Rustic Antique Turkish Oushak Rug, 09'07 x 12'01.

This hand-knotted wool distressed antique Turkish Oushak features a cusped centre medallion flanked with palmette finials. The central medallion is surrounded by a botanical scene composed of palmettes, blossoms, stylized florals, leafy tendrils and thin angular vines dancing rhythmically throughout the weathered field. The elemental details in the primary border are characterized by sophistication and elegance while the subsidiary reciprocating guard borders feature ancient Anatolian motifs.
