This vintage Chinese Art Deco style rug was hand-knotted in India for the western market. Displaying a beige field with brick red border, this Chinese Art Deco style rug features a round floral medallion and field ornamented with floral vases, cups, and pitchers. An inner meander border of sky-blue fretwork frames the center field and corner spandrels, further decorated by blue blossoms. The main border also features ivory fretwork and tendrils of sky-blue, navy, and cream. A dark ink blue band frames the entire piece.
