Description

75843 Vintage Persian Mahal Rug, 07'01 X 11'02.

Luxury lodge meets warm global style in this hand knotted wool vintage Persian Mahal rug. The intrinsic tribal design and monochromic colorway woven into this piece work together creating a  modern mountain look with a nomadic charm. The composition features a central hooked animal motif medallion anchored with a hooked lozenge medallion decorated with a cross motif. Ambiguous tribal symbols and large curled hooks radiate from the corner spandrels. It is framed with a tribal border patterned with unusual shapes and animalistic figures. The luxurious woodsy-feeling, earth-tone colors, and tribal elements solidify its worldly sophistication and nomadic charm.

Rustic yet refined, this earth-tone Persian area rug is well-suited with a variety of styles:  Tribal, Nomadic, Ethnic, Mid-Century Modern, Folk Art Style, Modern Mexican, Santa Fe Desert, Pacific Northwest, Southwestern,Contemporary, Modern, Bohemian, Boho Chic, Eclectic, Black Forest, Lake Tahoe, Lodge, Cabin, Rustic, Industrial, Artisan, Urban, and Loft. It would also complement mountain living for luxury ski chalets, secluded hunting lodges and rustic ranches found in Montana, Colorado, Lake Tahoe, Wyoming, or the Adirondacks.
